If you just saw two pink lines on a pregnancy test, you may be wondering who you can turn to to help you make a decision about your pregnancy. At The Pregnancy Network, our mission is to empower women to face their unplanned pregnancies without fear. Our team of registered nurses and trained Peer Advocates is here to help.
A pregnancy is a life-changing event regardless of what decision you make. The minute you saw those two pink lines, something changed. You changed. You’re wondering what option—parenting, adoption, or abortion—is best for you and your baby in the long run. Let’s break down what each option means for your future.
Option 1: Parenting
Becoming a parent shifts your life, but it is not the end of your life. Your priorities mold to fit this new little person you’re responsible for, but in the midst of these changes, something unexpected happens. Your world lights up in new colors as you begin to see life through your child’s eyes. Parenting has its difficulties, but they are nothing compared to the joy of watching your child grow.
We offer classes on Early Pregnancy, Pregnancy 101, and Parenting 101 to provide you with valuable insights on your pregnancy and parenting journey. Experts in their fields discuss infant CPR, healthy eating during pregnancy, community resources, and more. For each class you attend, you’ll receive a gift from us.
Option 2: Adoption
Placing a child for adoption is the life-giving alternative to abortion. You would choose an adoptive family for your child, and you could choose whether or not you’d like to be involved in your child’s life. Adoption is beautiful because your child has more people to raise and love them, even if you’re not ready to be a parent yet.
We work with Christian Adoption Services and Lifeline Children’s Services to create adoption plans. Set up an appointment with us to learn more about adoption.
Option 3: Abortion
Abortion is a procedure or medication used to end a pregnancy. There are two types of abortion: surgical and medication. A surgical abortion is done in a medical facility, while a medication abortion may be completed at home. Which option you’re eligible for depends on how far along you are in your pregnancy.
The Pregnancy Network does not perform or refer for abortions because we do not believe it is a healthy choice, but we do provide information on abortion procedures to help you make a fully-informed decision.
We’re here to help.
Regardless of which options you’re considering, it’s important to think clearly about your long-term goals. At The Pregnancy Network, we’re here to equip you with information and resources and help you make an informed choice. You’re not alone, and we’re here for you every step of the way. Make an appointment at our Greensboro location or Winston-Salem location today.
