1. It’s more than just a fundraiser.

The goal for this year’s walk for life is to raise $150,000. But there’s more at stake here than just reaching a monetary goal. Think about it this way: It costs about $1,200 to empower one woman to choose life for her unborn child. So if we reach our goal of $150K, that’s 125 moms who will be given the tools they need to carry their children to term. And that’s 125 unborn children who will have a chance at life.

By helping us raise money and awareness, you have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of mothers, fathers, and children within your community. Now that’s a goal worth walking for!

2. We have some pretty sweet incentives this year.

Sure, it’s not about the incentives, but they do tend to bring out the competitive spirit in each of us, right? There are five different levels of incentives, so depending on the amount of money you raise, you have the opportunity to earn all five things. (Keep in mind that all your money must be turned in by the beginning of our Walk event at 10am on Saturday, April 29th).

So what are these nifty swag items, you ask? Check them out:

$100: Our unrivaled, visually stunning and one-of-a-kind walk event t-shirt.

3. You can help decide what this year’s walk t-shirt will look like.

Hop on over to our Facebook page and weigh in on this year’s design. By voting, you’ll be automatically entered into a drawing to win a free t-shirt on event day.

4. The amount of fun you’ll have increases exponentially if you join a walk team.

The whole Walk for Life experience is a blast, but you’re guaranteed to have more fun (and make a greater impact) by joining an existing team or organizing your own. As a team, you’ll set a fundraising goal and work together to meet it. You can do this in a variety of ways. You can host a yard sale, organize a fundraising night at a restaurant, sell baked goods, or maybe even let people pay to pie your team leader in the face! If you’re not sure how to go about joining a walk team, check out our website here and follow the instructions for getting registered.

This year’s Walk for Life is going to be a ton of fun, and we want you to join us as we raise both awareness and funds for the mission of Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center. Our mission is to empower women, men, and students to make life-affirming choices. Please partner with us in building a legacy for the next generation that stands up for both the unborn and for moms and dads facing an unplanned pregnancy in our community.

We can’t wait to see you there!
