We are thrilled to share that over $148,540 was raised at the Walk for Life. Because so many in our community decided to Join the Movement through generous giving, the funds raised will provide 123 women with The Pregnancy Network’s free services

Over 500 participants took part in the event, both in person at Lawndale Baptist Church and virtually. This included an incredible team of 65 volunteers who helped to make this event a success.

Check out this video to see all the excitement from the Greensboro Walk for Life:

Over 35 Years of Service

For over 35 years, The Pregnancy Network has provided support to women in the community. TPN offers free medical services including STI testing and treatment, pregnancy tests, and limited ultrasounds. Last year, our RNs provided services to 943 women.

The Pregnancy Network hosts free classes (Pregnancy 101 and Parenting 101)  that cover a range of topics from breastfeeding to Infant CPR. Class attendees receive baby items for each class they attend. Women can also take part in Connect Mentorship – a free program that pairs women with a trained volunteer mentor for ongoing, personalized support. Volunteer Coordinator Allison Herrington noted that the Connect Mentorship program “is as unique as all of the women we serve.” A free Abortion Recovery program is also offered, providing a compassionate space for women to find healing after an abortion.

The funds raised at the Greensboro Walk for Life will go directly to making these free services available.

In January, The Pregnancy Network opened a new location in Winston-Salem so that the support we offer would be available to more women in Forsyth County. These free services are only possible because of our amazing team of volunteers, and the generosity of our partners.

Top Fundraisers

Walk For Life Family

The 2021 Greensboro Walk for Life top fundraising team was the Artiga Family, who achieved the title for the fifth year in a row! The Artiga Family raised $11,100 —  the funds needed to empower 9 women to choose life for their children. The Artiga Family was followed by Meredith Weber, Stacy Helt and Benjamin Holloman as top fundraisers.

Walk Fundraiser

At just six-years-old, Benjamin raised an impressive $5,000 — the funds needed to provide TPN’s services to 4 moms. To raise funds, Benjamin crafted handmade, personalized keychains to send to those who donated. Then, he upped the ante — he would get to pie his dad, Matt, in the face if he met his fundraising goal. Those following on social media couldn’t get enough of the clever videos that Benjamin scripted and shared on his mom, Mary’s, Facebook page. Benjamin also wrote thank you notes to all those who contributed. Benjamin, congratulations – you’re proving you’re never too young to make a difference. (Our condolences to Matt — we hope the pie tastes good.)

Join the Movement

If you would like to Join the Movement and be a part of this event, you can still contribute. The Greensboro Walk for Life fundraising page will remain open through May 17. Whoever raises the most post-Walk funds, donated April 18 through May 17, will receive a gift basket of TPN gear!
