My evening hours these past two weeks have been consumed with the Olympics. I’ve stayed up late every night anxiously hoping that the United States would receive another gold medal. Last night, I watched the U.S. women sweep the 100 meter hurdles by winning gold, silver and bronze. They made it look effortless as they soared over those hurdles toward the finish line. But I can only imagine the hard work they put into their preparation to become an Olympic medalist. Their success didn’t happen overnight.
In the effort to make abortion unnecessary in Greensboro, we face hurdles everyday. We work very hard to rise above these hurdles in order to fulfill our mission. Here are a few of the hurdles we need to overcome:
- Making sure our message gets out in the community, so women don’t have to go to the abortion clinic.
- Finding the best way to meet the needs of our clients.
- Training enough volunteers to keep up with all the appointments so we don’t have to turn anyone away.
- Raising enough money to run the ministry effectively.
You can be a key component to soaring above these hurdles by attending the annual Benefit Dinner on Friday, October 21. Check out the details below. When & Where
Friday, October 21, 2016. The benefit will be held at the Grandover Resort again this year (1000 Club Road, Greensboro, NC 27407). Check-in and silent auction begin at 5:30pm. Doors will open around 5:15pm (In case you’re trying to get ready for the silent auction so you can make the first bid!). Dinner will be served at 6:30pm.
Keynote Speakers
Twin brothers, David & Jason Benham, are former professional baseball players, best selling authors, speakers, & nationally acclaimed entrepreneurs. Their success earned them a reality show with HGTV, yet the show was abruptly canceled because of their commitment to traditional/biblical values. Their story regarding abortion & their father’s involvement in the pro-life movement as a pastor is one you won’t want to miss.
Sponsorship
Our total fundraising goal for the evening is $250,000. Sponsorship goes a long way in helping us reach that goal. Sponsorship levels vary from $1,000 to $10,000. The idea for you as a sponsor is to bring your friends and associates whom you believe would like to invest in the mission of the Care Center with you. As you allow them to come to the benefit dinner at no cost to them, they give in a big way that evening.
We need at least 30x $1,000 sponsors, 8x $2,500, 5x $5,000, 2x $7,500, and 1x $10,000. Please consider how you can sponsor.
