In case you haven’t noticed or been around in the last couple of years, Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center has been growing exponentially. We’re not only seeing more clients than ever, but our staff has more than doubled. Yet, the Care Center is still a volunteer-led and staff-supported organization. We could not fulfill our mission to empower women and men to make life-affirming choices without our faithful volunteers and board of directors.
Volunteer-Led, Staff-Supported
There are more than 70 individuals who keep GPCC operating throughout the year. These people do everything from cleaning up table settings after our Benefit Dinner, to leading client appointments, to raising thousands of dollars in order to support our clients.
As you can imagine, it’s not often we’re all able to gather in one room and share our mutual passion and vision for Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center. In fact, some of us have never even met. That’s one reason why we’re hosting our first All Volunteer & Staff Gathering on Monday, September 18th, from 6-8pm at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church.
This event is a time for all of us to meet each other and talk about the future of GPCC. We will discuss what defines our organization, the role of volunteers, our upcoming move, and more!
It’s important we all gather together because this is a vital time in GPCC’s history, and each person serving at the Care Center is a valuable asset to our organization. If you are a current volunteer and have not yet RSVP’d, please do so ASAP by either responding to your email invitation or giving me a call at 336-274-4901.
How to Get Connected
If you’re not currently involved with the Care Center, we know what you’re thinking: “Where do I sign up??” Excellent question! If you want to join the network of men and women who support GPCC as volunteers, you won’t want to miss this month’s Open House event on Monday, September 11. This is your first step for getting connected. You’ll get a free dinner, an opportunity to meet the staff, and the chance to get your questions answered and to learn about all the ways to serve at GPCC.
