In light of the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Greensboro has suspended all programs, events, and facility rentals through May 11. Unfortunately, The Pregnancy Network’s Walk for Life previously scheduled for April 25 has been postponed. We are working with the City to create an alternative plan for our Walk for Life celebration at a later date.
While much of our nation’s activities and businesses have ground to a halt, the abortion industry remains active. Last Saturday, 29 women walked into the abortion facility on Randleman Road. For many women, the fear that accompanies an unplanned pregnancy has been compounded by the presence of the coronavirus. Women who are already uncertain now feel additional pressure to make a decision quickly. The need is still great and we must remain faithful to this ministry.
The date of the Walk for Life is changing, but our mission remains the same: our goal is to raise $300,000 to empower 250 moms to choose life for their unborn children.
Because many church services have been cancelled for the next few weeks, we are extending the fundraising deadline to May 30. While it may not be possible to hold car washes, bake sales, or restaurant fundraising events, it is possible to fundraise virtually. Your team captain will be sharing some creative ideas for how you can do this, and you can also reach out to our staff team at any time for additional guidance.
In the meantime, we invite you to create your fundraising page by clicking here. You can start raising funds from home so we can keep empowering women to face their unplanned pregnancies without fear. We will still provide incentives for each fundraising level (you can view each incentive here), and all sponsorships will still be honored.
Our team is here to respond to any questions you may have and will be checking in with team captains periodically. Their contact information is listed below:
Thank you for your faithful support to The Pregnancy Network.
