Only 22 days until Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center will host our annual Walk for Life on Saturday, April 29, 2017, and we are getting pretty excited around here!
You’re not registered, yet? No problem! Visit www.thepregnancynetwork.org/walk to register yourself, create a team and start recruiting your team members. You would be surprised at the amount of money you can raise in just 22 days. I’m here to help, if you need it!
Without further ado, I come to you with a top list of awesome team fundraising ideas that will surely be fun and raise a nice chunk of change for your team:
1. Restaurant Fundraising Night
Did you know that most local restaurants will host fundraising events? Basically, pick a date, bring in the people and the restaurant will give your team/organization a percentage of what they make that evening. So, call your favorite frozen yogurt place, pizza parlor or chicken fast food joint and put that fundraising night on the calendar.
2. Yard Sale
If your house looks anything like mine, I would assume that there is always something in need of purging and/or
organizing. Why not host a yard sale to benefit your Walk team? Clear out the stuff you don’t use anymore and raise some money. Sounds like a win/win to me.
3. Hot Dog Sale
Ask your church to host a hot dog sale. One team member brings the dogs, another brings the buns, while the third brings the mustard. Provide Sunday lunch after church one week, and ask for donations towards your Walk team to benefit the mission of the Care Center.
4. Host a Party
Between LuLaRoe, Norwex, Matilda Jane, Usborne Books, and SO MANY MORE, there is no shortage of in-home retail opportunities these days. Host a party at your house (or even online) and ask your consultant to contribute a percentage of the sales to your team.
5. Prize Drawing/Auction
Is someone on your team crafty? Grab your crafty friends, make prizes, and hold a drawing for those who donate to your team. Do you know someone with a connection to a local business that is willing to donate some merchandise? Hold an online auction on social media. The prize will go to the highest donation at the end of the night. (Check out a great example of this here!)
As you can see, when it comes to fundraising the roof is the ceiling. Umm… I mean the sky’s the limit! Be creative, have fun, and never lose sight of the Care Center’s mission!
