The Walk for Life is only 2 days away, and we’ve been blown away by the hard work of our fundraisers and donors! You may have seen a particular hashtag floating around on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and website the last few weeks: #WhyWeWalkGSO.
In case you missed it, we’ve been asking staff, volunteers, walkers, donors—really anyone who’s willing to share—why they walk.
What is their motivation? What pushes them to serve at GPCC? What compels them to give sacrificially of their hard-earned finances? Of all the organizations to invest time, resources, and money in, why the Care Center?
We’ve asked, and you haven’t disappointed! We have loved hearing your stories and your heart behind why you walk. So, we want to highlight some of your reasons all in one place on this week’s blog post. Take a minute to scroll through and see the different reasons why people walk and consider sharing with us why YOU walk, too.
And just because we like making things more fun, we’re giving you the chance to win some really cool stuff just by sharing why you walk! This week’s prize will be announced on Friday at 12 noon, so you still have plenty of time to participate. See our Facebook page for details on how to enter and to see what the prizes have been for the past two weeks. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Happy hashtagging, and we’ll see you bright and early on Saturday at the Walk for Life!
