We are so excited to kick off this Fall semester with a strong presence on UNCG’s campus. The group formerly known as Make Up Your Own Mind is getting a face lift! The many years this group existed on UNCG’s campus were fruitful and valuable; however, we believe that an upgrade to this student group will be beneficial not only to students needing the Care Center’s services, but also to the Care Center itself. The new name for this group is pretty straight forward: Students for Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center.
We will be launching this new group at UNCG’s Fall Kickoff on College Ave on August 23rd! Our hope is to grow the organization this year and be more of a presence on UNCG’s campus by connecting students directly to the services of GPCC and working to make abortion unnecessary in the city of Greensboro.
It is our desire to love both the women served by GPCC and their unborn children. We want to love people like Jesus did during his life on earth, and we are motivated to do so by his perfect life, sacrificial death, and miraculous resurrection.
Our mission states that our utmost aim is to:
- Promote a culture of life and health through life-affirming Christian ministry and education to people facing unplanned pregnancy and related sexual issues.
- Offer every pregnant woman the support she needs to choose optimal health outcomes for her life and the life of her unborn child.
- Connect students in need with Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center.
- Share the love, hope, and the truth of Jesus through words and deeds.
As we near the semester’s start, we ask for your prayers that God would move in a mighty way this semester in bringing hope to student’s lives and that he would empower us to assist students in facing their unplanned pregnancies without fear.

Klaire Harrison is the Outreach Coordinator at GPCC. When she’s not working, she enjoys singing and serving at Mercy Hill Church and snuggling her 4-month-old baby boy.
