5 Things You Should Know About the 2023 GSO Walk for Life

The 2023 Greensboro Walk for Life is Saturday, April 29 at LeBauer Park in Downtown Greensboro and we cannot wait to see you there! Registration begins at 9 AM, and the Walk starts at 10 AM. If you’re new to the Walk for Life or if it’s been a while since you’ve been involved, you’re in the right place. Here are 5 things you should know about this event:

1. The Walk for Life is a fundraiser—and so much more.

The Walk for Life is an annual event where churches, families, and individuals gather together to show their support for women facing unplanned pregnancies. Participants register as fundraisers and raise money toward the overall goal by sharing the mission of The Pregnancy Network. In the weeks leading up to the Walk, fundraisers meet their goals in a variety of creative ways. On the day of the event, we celebrate with a 2 mile walk through Downtown Greensboro.

2. The goal is $200,000.

It takes $1,500 to empower one woman to choose life for her unborn child and make healthy choices for her future. That means we’ll empower more than 130 women if we reach this goal! How many women will you empower?

3. You don't have to be a financial guru to be a fundraiser.

No matter your age or experience, you can make a difference through the Walk for Life! We have the best fundraisers in the world. Our Walk teams stay busy collecting donations towards their goals through bake sales, art auctions, giveaways, social media contests, and more. All it takes is a bit of creativity and the willingness to ask. You can get started as a fundraiser by registering right here

Our team has also worked hard to create a step-by-step guidebook showing you how to meet your goal and have a great time doing it. You can access the guidebook here.

4. The Walk is 100% family-friendly.

The Walk for Life is a great way to get the whole family involved with an organization that values the lives of women and the lives of the unborn. Invite your kids to share their ideas for raising funds. In fact, some of our top fundraisers in the past have been families. And best of all, on Walk day there will be face painting, kids’ activities, and free hotdogs, popcorn, and snow cones. So break out those strollers and sunscreen and plan for a fun morning for the whole family!

5. There's awesome swag up for grabs.

Fundraisers who reach certain donation thresholds will receive incentives for their efforts. Raise $125 and receive a Walk for Life T-shirt. Raise even more and you could walk away with items like portable chargers, travel mugs, cooler bags, and more! Click here to view the full list of incentives

The top 3 fundraisers overall receive prize baskets with gifts like Ozzie’s Ice Cream and Greensboro Science Center certificates.

Insider Tip: You can check in to the Walk for Life early on Friday, April 28 at The Pregnancy Network’s Greensboro OFFICE (625 Fulton Street) from 10 AM-2 PM. Turn in any offline cash/check donations and receive your incentives early!

Don't Miss It!

When you participate in the Walk for Life, you empower women, protect unborn life, and make an eternal impact. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

We look forward to seeing you, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 29!
