Benefit Dinner Recap

Last Friday, we held our annual fundraising benefit dinner. We celebrated 30 Years of Life in our community; what a milestone! If you attended the dinner, thank you so much for your generosity and participation. Your support is invaluable in the fight against abortion in our community.

Our keynote speaker was Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director. Abby’s message was convicting. She admonished those of us who say we care about the unborn and their mothers to make sure our actions (and our wallets) follow our words. I hope we’ll all heed her encouraging but challenging message.

Mercedes’ story was also incredibly revealing. Our culture is stacked against women facing unplanned pregnancies, and we must do all we can to give them real options that have healthy outcomes. Make sure to check our social media avenues, our website homepage, or our YouTube channel this week for the video of Mercedes’ story.

Our fundraising goal for the evening was not only met, but blown out of the water! Our goal was $200,000. After a final count, we ended up raising:

$211,000!

That’s incredible. Because we’re a Christian organization, we believe God graciously mobilized you to give. Please continue faithfully participating in our mission moving forward.

$75k Match

As we revealed at the dinner, a generous supporter has recently offered to match $75,000 toward the purchase of the mobile unit vehicle. Here are some details about how the match works…

The Details:

• We must raise $75,000; anything less will not be matched
• We have until October 31, 2015, to raise the funds; anything after this date will not be counted toward the match

Current Status:

• So far, we have raised $19,000
• We still need $56,000 by October 31 to reach the match level

How You Can Help

If you would like to give specifically toward this match for the mobile unit, please do so by October 31, 2015. You may click here to give online, mail a check to 917 N Elm Street, 27401 (made out to Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center), or call us at 336-274-4901 to discuss other giving options.

Please also consider who else may want to know about this match and contact them on behalf of the Care Center. There are surely others here in our community who want to participate in what God is doing through the Care Center. They just need someone to reach out and give them the opportunity!
