It’s hard to believe that the Care Center will be moving in just over a month! One fun thing we have been able to do while getting ready for the move is going through all the donations we have in our Care Cottage. (Our Care Cottage is where we keep new and gently used baby and maternity items to provide for our clients. Clients receive these items as incentives when they attend our Pregnancy and Parenting Class.) Our goal has been to keep about 50% of the items we currently have, and to give away the other 50% to clients before our move date! We love it when we are able to give our clients free items, so we had our Client Giveaway Day this past Friday, September 22. We were so excited when 31 past clients came to get items!
It was great seeing past clients and also seeing so many of their babies! Clients filled large bags with clothes and many other items. It was wonderful to see the continued support we can offer to our clients. We really do want to come alongside men and women facing unplanned pregnancy in Greensboro—before, during, and after their pregnancy.
We had so much fun that we thought, Why not have another Client Giveaway Day? So that’s exactly what we’re doing! Next Tuesday, October 3 from 5-7 pm, current or past clients are welcome to stop by the Care Center to receive free baby and maternity items. If you’ve received services at GPCC before, we would love to see you again!
And for those of you who have donated items to us before: Thank you so much! Your gifts have made it possible for us to give large quantities of items to our clients and to offer them continual support on their journey through parenthood.
We are not currently accepting any new donations, but stay connected to our Facebook page and Twitter so you’ll know when we start accepting donations again after our move.
