The moment I had been waiting for all year.
I was on a mission to find the golden egg.
Every year, my church hid a golden egg and if you found it, you won $20. As a little 8-year-old girl, $20 was basically a fortune.
As I ran around the field, my basket began to fill with pink eggs, blue eggs, and green eggs— but my sights were set on that golden egg.
Minutes later, all my little 8-year-old-girl dreams came true— I found THE golden egg. Victory was mine and it was a moment I will never forget.
