Guess what! Still hiring! We’re looking for a fundraising assistant. We believe hiring good staff is vital to supporting the mission of the Care Center. Below is the description and contact form you can fill out to contact Carter Mundy, our Assistant Executive Director if you’re interested.
Position Description
The Fundraising Assistant will work with Executive staff to raise funds through fundraising events, campaigns and major gifts. Duties will include outreach to current and past donors, potential new donors, administrative duties related to donor management, and other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Executive Staff
Hours: 20-25/week (Part-Time)
Qualifications:
- Must be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including membership in good-standing, and attendance of, a local church
- Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the life-affirming position and sexual purity
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith and policies of the Care Center
- Experience in assisting with fundraising events, major gifts, direct mailings, and/or capital campaigns is preferred
- Have at least one year of experience in ministry, or as a volunteer in some ministry capacity
- Be available to work some nights and weekends, as needed
- Must attend fundraising events
- Have (or pursuing) a bachelor’s degree in related field(s), or related experience equivalent
- Strong sense of initiative, with the ability to manage a variety of key initiatives concurrently
- Excellent communication, administrative skills
- Detailed oriented
Essential Functions:
- Schedule appointments for Executive Staff with current, new, and past donors
- Maintain Executive Staff’s calendar and follow-up with appointments
- Follow-up with information to be sent to donors and sponsors
- Identify and contact new prospective donors to help increase donor base by at least 20%
- Help recruit volunteer revenue committees for fundraising events
- Approach individuals, businesses, churches and other organizations for sponsorships, donations and appointments with Executive Staff
- Maintain records of donor information in logistical sheets
- Help to develop new fundraising ideas
- Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied
