Moving ahead.
If any two words could perfectly sum up the past year at Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center, those two would be the ones. 2016 was filled with so much moving. Moving ahead with new staff members, moving forward with our 3-phase plan, and moving (quite literally) our snazzy new mobile unit out into the community, just to name a few.
In the midst of all the momentum, it seems that 2016 is gone flying by without giving us much of a chance to breathe. But as the year closed and we crept into January, our organization has been able to take a step back and do some evaluating. What did we accomplish last year, and where are we heading this year?
The result of this reflection has led to our bi-annual report, which just went out this week. This report contains a summary of last year’s constant movement forward towards the next steps of our strategic plan. Check out some of these encouraging highlights that are featured in the report:
Our Services
We saw a total of 819 individual clients, up from 590 clients in 2015. That’s a 39% increase!
We provided:
511 pregnancy tests, up from 409 in 2015 (a 25% increase).
247 ultrasounds, up from 128 in 2015 (a 93% increase).
127 STD tests, up from 36 in 2015 (a 253% increase).
Education and Mentorship
The medical services we offer (pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and STD tests) are most often how we first meet
our clients, which is at their moment of crisis. Our desire is to continue our relationship with each client beyond these services by connecting them with our educational services and, eventually, with our mentorship program (see the Success Sequence Pyramid on the right).
We have been so encouraged by the relationships we’ve built over the past year. Take a look at some of these highlights:
Number of educational class sessions held: 241
Number of times the Gospel was presented to clients: 488
Number of clients who became Christians: 7
Number of clients actively participating in the Titus 2 mentoring program: 7
Number of adoptions: 3

These are just a few of the many highlights we’ve been able to share in our bi-annual report. The growth we’ve experienced over the past year has served to reaffirm the direction in which we’re moving.
