The Virtual Gala for Life is just one week away! Haven’t started planning yet? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick guide for hosting a memorable watch party that all your guests will enjoy.
1. Plan your Party
First, pick a date between October 16 and 30, and register your event at ThePregnancyNetwork.org/Gala. This step is important! You’ll need to register your event to receive your Host Kit and a link to the Virtual Gala for Life program. The program will be about 1 hour long, so you can plan the time of your event accordingly.
Next, make a guest list of everyone you’d like to include. The Virtual Gala for Life is a great opportunity to share the mission of The Pregnancy Network with your friends and family. This year’s Virtual Gala gives you the unique opportunity to open your home and change your city. Invite those in your circle to make a difference in the lives of women and families in the Triad. Each guest must be registered under your group host name.
2. Consider Your Guests
Once you have your guest list, think about the kind of gathering that would best suit your event. Keep things relaxed and family-friendly? Plan that fancy dinner party you’ve been wanting to host? An outdoor movie night on the big screen? Weekend brunch? The opportunities are endless.
If children will be attending, a children’s table with a few kid-friendly activities will make your event fun for everyone. You can even hire a babysitter for the event to entertain the little ones while the adults socialize.
3. Plan your Menu and Decor
Once you’ve settled on your event, you can plan a menu that best suits your gathering. Whether you’re serving gourmet recipes, cute kid-friendly snacks, or party trays from Chick-fil-a, you’ll keep things stress-free if you make a list of the details in advance.
Next, decide if you’d like to use any decor to fit your event. Think about what would set the scene to help your guests feel welcomed. Brighten up your table with fresh flowers, or create a welcoming atmosphere with a few candles. If you’re planning an outdoor screening, having a basket of cozy blankets ready to go will keep your guests comfortable as fall temperatures drop. You can keep decorations simple, or go all out with a Pinterest-inspired fall soiree.
