I was driving home from work one day this week and my cell phone rang. The caller ID on my phone indicated that the person calling was from Florida. Normally I don’t answer the phone when I don’t know who it is, especially when I’m driving on the highway. I was sure it was a sales call, possibly someone wanting me to spend my money on some gadget I didn’t need. For some reason I felt like I should take this one, though.
“I am looking for Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center,” the caller said.
“Well I work there,” I replied. “Can I help you with something?’
“This is Pam Tebow,” the caller said, “and I’m trying to reach Judy.”
Shocked, I pulled off the highway, and for the next 30 minutes had the most pleasant conversation with Pam. She asked me all about the Pregnancy Care Center. She wanted to know about our services both on-site and out in the community. Of course, I was thrilled to talk with her about our services. I told her about our pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, STI Tests, and our many other free services we offer clients. We talked about our classes, including our newest; Man Up and The 5 Love Languages.
She was doing her “homework” in order to prepare for speaking at our Annual Fundraising Banquet. We also spent time talking about the services the Care Center offers our community, including Integrity, Make Up Your Own Mind®, and In the Know®.
Of course, we also talked about the details of the banquet. Pam will share her story about her refusal to abort “Timmy” when she was advised to do so. Since ESPN aired an interview, and she and Tim were in a Super Bowl commercial that celebrated family and life, she has been given a national platform to encourage the pro-life message. She will share her whole story with us that evening.
Pam was very personable, and while I have never met her I felt like I was talking to one of my best friends. I’m sure she will make all attending the banquet feel the same way. You will not want to miss hearing Pam Tebow speak at this year’s Annual Fundraising Banquet on Saturday, September 27. The room is filling up fast, so click here to reserve your ticket or table. You can also visit our Banquet Page for more information. It’s going to be a great evening!
