Clients: Mercedes & Joshua
Mercedes and Joshua are doing great! They love being parents. Mercedes is an engineering major and just went back to school. Finals are looming and she said she feels a little behind, but is making it. She went back after three weeks and is not giving up on school.
Joshua Jr. is doing great. He was born October 22, 2015, at 6:51am and is now 9lbs! Join the staff and volunteers in celebrating and praying for this sweet family.
Letter From The Staff
Dear Partners,
As we reflect on the past year at Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center, though many disturbing things have happened in the American culture, our 30th Anniversary has been packed with excitement and celebration! The hard questions we asked ourselves last year at this time (regarding our direction, mission, and policies) allowed us to consider how to move forward in a way marked by excellence and effectiveness.
As a Christian organization, we believe God works through the prayers of his people; and we have surely seen God work.
- At the beginning of the year we set our strategic plan in motion and you, our partners, have jumped on board.
- When we rolled out the plan for Phase 1: Going Mobile, you said “Yes!” with us.
- When we added an additional $367,300 to our annual budget, you took up the challenge and have begun to give generously to make it happen.
This is just the beginning. We’ve seen more clients this year than last year (600+ v. 557). And, that number will likely double next year with the help of our mobile unit. We’ve seen 110+ women for ultrasound, and the majority (76+) carried to term. We’ve even seen 7+ people become Christians or commit to intentionally grow in their faith through our Titus 2 Mentorship Initiative!
These numbers aren’t final yet, so expect a more detailed report in January. It’s important to remember that each number represents someone’s story. We’re thankful that God is using the Care Center to change people’s lives and that you’re a part of it as a faithful partner.
As this year comes to a close, please remember the Care Center in your giving. Please see our budgeted needs below and help us meet them. We’ve made it so far, let’s not leave our clients and potential clients without a better alternative to Planned Parenthood. If we work together, we will make an impact on our community; we will make abortion unnecessary in Greensboro!

Our Budgeted Needs
In 2014, our end of the year giving was $40,100, which was $9,900 under our budgeted need of $50,000.
This year, our need is still $50,000 for the end of the year. Please help us reach this goal. Your generosity fuels the mission of the Care Center. Clients like Mercedes will have their lives directly impacted because you give. Thanks so much for partnering!
Phase 1 Update
Total Cost: $367,300
Raised So Far: $243,789 (*Includes cash-in-hand & money pledged over the next year.)
Left to Raise: $123,511
We had an incredible match opportunity this Fall that has allowed us to begin shopping for an actual vehicle to use for Phase 1. We’re currently very close to purchasing an RV to retrofit, or a unit that will be built from the ground-up for our specific use. We will go with the option that is most cost-effective. We hope to launch the unit in the Spring. Look forward to hearing more about the mobile unit at the first of the new year!
