Summertime is a great time to fellowship with others and take time with your family to vacation away and rest in what God is doing in your life. But it can also be a time where your focus is turned from “How can I serve others?” to “How can I serve myself?”
You focus on the next big trip or the next party to attend. When in reality, your daily life can become lazy or too hectic to spend time with the Lord and focus your heart on Him. Have you asked yourself this summer, “What can God do with my time?” or “How can I turn my eyes on Him?”
Volunteer
Just one simple way to sacrifice your time and love others in our community is volunteering at Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center. If you follow Jesus, God can use your summer for His glory.
We understand you have a job, family, and other priorities. But two hours a week can do so much for your heart and it may even change the hearts of others you interact with. There are two simple things you need to volunteer with us: a love for Jesus and a love for others.
Greensboro Pregnancy Care Center will equip you! We have a great need for more volunteers on our Mobile Ultrasound Unit. Currently, we just have a nurse and RDMS taking all the appointments. To run our appointments more efficiently, we need a peer advocate volunteer to connect with (and advocate for) our clients.
Sometimes, we even have to turn down clients because we just do not have enough volunteers on the mobile unit. We have all the equipment and staff, but to use it effectively we need more helping hands.
The mobile unit goes out Mondays 12pm-4pm, Wednesdays 12pm-4pm, and Saturdays 9am-2pm. If you are available for any of these times, ask yourself if you would be willing to sacrifice some of your summer. If you do not have time to give, please consider praying for more volunteers to partner with us. As a Christian organization, we believe God answers prayer!

Becca is one of our staff RNs. She primarily runs our medical services on the mobile ultrasound unit. When Becca’s not at the Care Center, she and her husband, Rudy, enjoy serving at their local church, Mercy Hill.
