Our annual Walk for Life fundraising event is only 3 DAYS AWAY! We still need to raise over $50,000 to meet our $75,000 goal. Here is a short story about why we do what we do. We’re walking on Saturday for clients like Abby.

Abby* came in two weeks ago abortion-minded, wanting to discuss her options about her pregnancy. She was heavily considering abortion and was early in her pregnancy (6 weeks along).
After being presented with information about abortion procedures and risks, she asked if she could speak to someone who had previously experienced an abortion. We have advocates at the Care Center who have gone through abortions in their past, but have found healing in Christ, and they are able to talk to clients about their experience and the struggles that came with their decision.
Abby came back to listen to the second advocate and received a lot of support and guidance, although she had her abortion scheduled for the next day. Abby signed up for an ultrasound here at the Care Center for the following week and said that if she came, that meant she was carrying her child to term instead of aborting.
We prayed all week for Abby to come to the appointment. The night of her scheduled ultrasound appointment, Abby walked through the door, had her ultrasound, and firmly decided that she is carrying her baby! Praise God that Abby followed her natural maternal instinct to choose life for her child!
It’s stories like this one that motive us to serve. Abby’s story is #WhyWeWalk!
