Position Description
Staff Nurses (RN) will administer health services to clients by conducting pregnancy tests, STD tests, and limited obstetrical ultrasounds. Other responsibilities include providing medical advice according to medical standards of care; providing education on contraceptives and other relevant topics related to center services; filing appropriate paperwork/data entry; leading Client Services department in adhering to medical standards of care; upholding Care Center policies and procedures; and other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: 25-30/week (Part-Time)
Pay: Based on Experience
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including membership in good-standing and attendance of a local church
- Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and sexual purity
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principles, Statement of Faith, and policies of the organization
- Holds a current license in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Has a current CPR certificate
- Nursing experience preferred
- Qualified or willing to be trained in limited obstetrical ultrasound
- Demonstrates competent knowledge of the care for obstetrical and gynecological clients and women’s health issues
- Compassionate disposition toward pregnant mothers and their families
- Must comply with state and professional licensing and continuing education requirements
- Flexible schedule to be available during the week, some week nights, and some Saturdays
Essential Functions:
- Administer Care Center health services according to medical standards of care, including client pregnancy appointments, STD appointments, and limited ultrasounds
- Communicate medical information clearly and compassionately with clients
- Document clinical findings accurately, in detail
- Report findings to Client Services Director on an as needed basis; consult Medical Directors as needed
- Annual review of CPR certification
- Annual review of center policies and procedures, HIPAA requirements, infection control regulations, and OSHA safety procedures
- Drive mobile unit vehicle, as needed
