Development Coordinator Position Summary

The Development Coordinator works with the Development Director to raise funds through businesses and individual donors across the Triad. This is done through fundraising events, campaigns, and building personal relationships with donors. Responsibilities include: outreach to current financial partners and prospective new financial partners, administrative tasks related to donor management, and other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Development Manager (Primary); Development Director (Secondary)

Manages: Related Volunteers

Pay/Hours: Salary Range ($40,000-$42,000); full-time (exempt)

Holidays and Benefits: 12 paid holidays; paid time off (PTO) with accrual and certain carry-over by year; Retirement option (SIMPLE IRA) after 1 year of employment matched up to 3%; 98% of health care premium paid by The Pregnancy Network; 100% dental care paid by The Pregnancy Network; maternity and paternity leave options

Position Competencies

  3. Ability to create, implement, and improve systems of the organization; detail-oriented
  4. Excellent communication and administrative skills
  5. Able to identify and develop emerging leaders for fundraising volunteer teams
  6. Available and willing to counsel volunteer team leaders and give sound, biblical advice that aligns with The Pregnancy Network’s beliefs, as well as practical fundraising advice to help meet goals

Qualifications for Employment

  • Must be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including membership in good standing, and attendance of a local church
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the life-affirming position and sexual purity
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies of The Pregnancy Network
  • 1 year of experience in fundraising, sales, or grant writing, and managing others in some capacity preferred

Essential Responsibilities of the Position

  • Fundraising
    1. Help secure budgeted income for The Pregnancy Network with an annual increase of 20%
    2. Speak on behalf of the organization in various fundraising settings, one-on-one with pastors, individual donors, and businesses  
    3. Work with Associate Executive Director to assist in contacting and securing new and existing churches in the Triad to financially partner with The Pregnancy Network in baby bottle campaigns
    4. Maintain a portfolio of assigned donors to cultivate relationships and grow generosity with a 20% increase each year; accomplished through prospecting new donors and developing current donors
    5. Convert 25% of one-time donors to monthly donors 
    6. Research and apply for grants; stay up to date on current best practices for writing non-profit healthcare grants
    7. Collaborate with fundraising staff to develop new fundraising ideas
  • Logistics and Administrative Support
    1. Schedule appointments with current, new, and past churches and donors; keep detailed notes
    2. Maintain accurate records of donor information, including donor pipelines and management systems
    3. Assist in logistics for fundraising events as assigned by Development Manager or Development Director
  • Volunteer Development
  1. Manage and continually train volunteer teams for the Development Department
  2. Develop volunteers to be involved in all three areas of partnership: Pray, Serve, Give
